Technical Asset & Development manager

Technical Asset & Development Manager (Offices, Life Sciences, Residential & Logistics) in Amsterdam to manage the (re)development of properties across various sectors, in collaboration with an international investment management fund based in London.

Job Description

Our client is a growing real estate startup, evolving into a prominent asset and investment management firm operating within the Dutch real estate market. The company manages real estate, via several strategies for their capital partners, in various sectors like Offices, Life Sciences, Residential & Logistics.

The company offers a Technical Asset & Development Manager position within their Amsterdam-based team. As a Technical Asset & Development Manager you will be responsible for the (re)development process of both new developments and existing properties.

Main responsibilities:

  • Managing (re)development projects from initiative to realization in cooperation with external partners
  • Liaise with municipalities, developers, contractors, consultants and other relevant parties
  • Managing budget, time, risk and quality to ensure that the desired project results & objectives are delivered
  • Responsible for the maintenance policy and the implementation of the sustainability policy based on the real estate strategies
  • Analysing and monitoring technical status of the real estate portfolio and regularly updating, preparing and working out CapEx and OpEx budgets

Job Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in technical asset and development management within the real estate sector.
  • Demonstrated track record in (re)developments and project management.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English.

Educational background:

  • Master's degree in Building Sciences/Civil Engineering or Bachelor's degree with relevant practical experience.

Personal characteristics:

  • Proficient in problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Possesses a strong commercial acumen and business mindset.
  • Proactive, driven, and able to handle stress effectively.
  • Excellent communicator and adept at building relationships.
  • Down-to-earth personality with a good sense of humor.
