Job description

The primary objective of this role is to manage residential and retail assets within the Dutch portfolio. In addition, the Asset Manager will support and initiate transactions related to residential investments and manage transactions and disposals for other asset classes.

The organization is highly active across European markets, pursuing both organic and inorganic growth strategies. With regular capital inflows and new product launches, this role also provides exposure to cross-border transactions and strategic investment initiatives.

Job responsibilities

  • Act as part of a pan-European transactions and asset management team, responsible for building and maintaining effective asset management strategies for residential and retail portfolios.
  • Oversee and coordinate local property managers.
  • Approve and monitor asset management initiatives, including lettings, lease renewals, and capital expenditure projects.
  • Lead the preparation of annual asset business plans.
  • Take responsibility for quarterly reporting and other internal and external reports, in collaboration with asset managers, fund finance, and client services teams.
  • Develop and implement efficient asset management processes, procedures, and performance targets, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the portfolio.
  • Serve as a key member of the portfolio team and act as a communication link with clients.
  • Support portfolio managers and transaction leads in new acquisitions, including asset strategy development, underwriting, and preparation of client materials.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers and senior leadership on client relationships, research, and new initiatives.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in asset management.
  • Ability to work independently, with strong people and stakeholder management skills to coordinate internal and external teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Financial modelling skills are preferred.
  • Capable of operating at a strategic level while also understanding and managing detailed information.
  • Experience in European real estate is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of landlord and tenant matters, including agreements for lease, lease structures, and rent reviews.
  • Some experience in development management is preferred.
  • Fluent in Dutch, with an excellent command of English.
  • Able to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and operational skills, with the ability to plan effectively, anticipate challenges, and solve problems proactively.
  • Ambitious, proactive team player who is also a self-starter, with the ability and desire to grow within a corporate development environment.
  • Gross annual salary in the range of €60,000 – €75,000, depending on experience
  • Performance-based bonus
