Investment Manager at a leading International Real Estate Development Firm (Specialized in Logistics Real Estate)

Key Responsibilities

Our client is a prominent player in the international real estate sector, with a strong focus on logistics real estate development. They are seeking an Investment Manager to join their team in either Amsterdam or Antwerp. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of real estate development finance, project management, and investment structuring to the role, along with hands-on experience in real estate lending, acquisitions, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investment Sourcing & Negotiation: Lead the sourcing, negotiation, and closing of investment deals with potential investors, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Project Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee and monitor the progress of real estate development projects, providing regular updates and reports to senior management, owners, lenders, and investors.
  • Real Estate Financing: Source, negotiate, and close loans for real estate development projects by collaborating with banks and other lending institutions. Ensure optimal terms and conditions that align with project goals and financial parameters.
  • Investment Committee Memoranda: Prepare detailed Investment Committee memoranda and assess the financial performance of real estate projects to support decision-making.
  • Acquisitions & Asset Management: Assist in identifying and executing real estate acquisitions, managing the existing portfolio, and overseeing asset dispositions as necessary.
  • Loan & Investor Reporting: Establish and manage reporting processes for lenders, track loan drawdowns, and manage investor reporting and fund utilization/draw requests.
  • Loan Draw Process: Lead the loan draw process, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements in line with project milestones and agreements.

Desired Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: MSc in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in an international real estate environment, with a particular focus on real estate development, investment, and financing.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in real estate development economic models, cash flow modeling, and financial analysis. High-level experience in real estate lending, especially in construction and development lending, and familiarity with investment structures in the real estate industry.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (both spoken and written). Proficiency in French is highly preferred.
  • Key Traits: Self-driven, motivated, problem-solving mindset with a solution-oriented approach. Must be a team player capable of collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
